we will going to have a quiz on Friday around 4:30pm here in the Philippines about that, and I want to have some techniques in solving. Can you please help? Thanks! I can't understand some ideas about that topic.

1.first look at figures for phases of water and the saturated dome and memorize it.

2.you should know that every specific values should be multiplied by the mass of substance in order to calculate the value of the substance in that property.

3.for using the thermodynamic tables:

a.by knowing the pressure or temperature of water determine its phase then refer to the table relative to that phase and the read the other properties.

b.if the temperature was not exactly at the table but you knew its phase you have to find the two temperatures which are more and less than the temperature and are in the table then you can find the other properties by enterpolation.

c.at the saturated phase first determine the x value then determine each property by this formula

y=yf+xyfg

where yf is the volue of that property in saturated liquid & yfg is the difference of that property in saturated gas and liquid.
