Can you seriously get famous of youtube?

Question

like what are the chances? im just wondering. I want to be a singer but i dont know like where to start.. I'm going to take private voice lessons soon... and i might get information from there but yeah..

please dont answer with like "get an agent and find a record deal" because it's really not that easy to find an agent just like that where i live..

Sure, lots of agents watch youtube looking for new talent to represent......you never know if you have talent and something special or unusual....it's possible. I know I found one of my favorite classical guitarist on youtube and if I were an agent I would represent him in a minute....he plays everything from Bach to the Beatles.... his name is Peo Kindgren, check him out......everyone is always asking him to make a Cd.....so if your good enough make a video and put it on youtube....what can you lose ???? you'll get "internet famous". if your video is popular it will be uploaded and stolen a million times while you don't make a cent out of it. i think the chocolate rain kid got a dr. pepper deal though. lol

well me being a dreamer i dont know. i thought about it last night and it brought me to tears knowing the small chances of great things happening to me....but you're you. you arent me.

make youtube videos of you singing and then people will watch and if they become popular they may go on TV. glad that you beleive in yourself =)

yes. there was a regular girl in a MAGAZINE just from posting a bunch of awesome videos on youtube.

Anything is possible, but not likely. Plenty of people become famous for a few weeks on Youtube, but not many can stay on top or make money for long. Post as many videos as you can to improve your chances..If  you get subscribers, that's a good sign you are doing something right.

Your best chance, since you are still in school is to enter competitions, go out for school plays (musicals) take classes after school, join the choir, you know all this, you just gotta make the time to do it girl...

.  famous? no. you get some exposure on youtube. meaning that people will see you and decide whether they like you or not.

as to your other comments, dont bother finding an agent. dont bother even learning to sing if your goal is to "get famous" your goal should be to do something you are passionate about, whether it be trash collecting or being the president.

add up how many people are actually nationally and internationally famous right now as singer and performers and you may come up with a million. a million people out of 6 billion isnt a very high percentage. most singers and performers are regionally known and make less than somone who is similarly skilled in another profession. if you want to be rich and famous, the easiest way is in business. if you want to follow a passion, then by all means do it, but understand your reasons for doing it.
