  1. he has no clue.they are all different.

  2. HE is wrong an you are right every car truck an suv wheel width varrys how can a wheel on a Mini Cooper be the same width as lets say a Hummer he needs to stick with a topic he knows

  3. Axle length differs among cars.

A car will have the same "width wheel" on both sides of the axle, however. Else it would be unsafe.

    EDIT////

Also, different cars use different width wheels. Some vehicles have this width differ from the front and real axle, with the rear pair usually wider.

  4. They don't; they vary even within manufacturer. You are correct that they do not have the same wheel base.  In my driveway I have a Dodge Caliber with a wheelbase of 103.7 inches and a Dodge Durango with a wheelbase of 119.2.  If he is talking about mixing wheel widths on a car axle; the width of the wheel should be the same on the axle but there is no law for that just common sense and handling; though running the donut spares puts a different width wheel on the axle.

  5. it doesn't. every car model has a different set of measurements for different type s of performance

  6. 2007 Hummer H2

    Wheelbase (in) 122.7

    2007 Jeep Liberty

    Wheelbase (in) 104.3

  7. Compare a mini to a rolls royce you win

  8. Stupid Bf you have there lil girl!

  9. He's wrong, you should break up with him.

  10. He wrong and possibly a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic!

  11. Call a shop that sells wheels and get the specifications for a Hummer wheel and a Liberty wheel, or research it yourself online. There are many wheel retail/wholesale businesses with websites.

Edit: I just thought of something. Ever since Bill Clinton and the parsing of words, what most people take something to mean can be bent and twisted.

Technically, your boyfriend is correct, if what HE meant is that each wheel on an axle is the same width for safety, and that this rule applies to all vehicles, not that all wheels on every vehicle are the same width.

  12. aren't jeeps smaller, and monto carlos wider ??
