Can you share your opinion of Manny Ramirez and his antics?

He's gorgeous to look at, but I got fed up with him every year threatening to leave. Come on, give me a break.

I don't like him and the way he acts. He plays with no class at all and he thinks he is bigger than the game. He is a good player, but as a GM, I wouldn't want him on my team because of what he did to Boston. Any player who publicly shows that he doesn't want to play really doesn't deserve to play anywhere in my opinion.

My opinion is that he is a great baseball player but he acts like a jerk most of the time.

As a hitter he is great but his fielding isn't all that great but I don't care for his Manny being Manny antics. He's a disruption to the team

It's funny that you put it that way- it makes me think of Manny as an obnoxious, rude, abusive boyfriend. Yet he continues to perform wonders in the "field", and so you keep him around until you absolutely can't stand it anymore. Which is precisely what the Red Sox did. They traded him in for someone who will still "produce" yet is much lower maintenance.

I hate that he left Boston. I'm a fan of Manny's and I loved watching him play at Fenway. I think some of the crazy things he does is funny to watch, but at the same time, I can agree with what you're saying as far as "gimme a break". He's the most feared hitter in baseball which makes him fun to watch, also. Like they say..."it's just Manny being Manny"...and I don't think he'll ever change his ways.

We can't lay all the blame on Manny just because he acted out. What happened to the Red Sox management sitting down with Manny and ironing out is concerns and problems in the off-season prior? Why was he ignored and brushed off numerous times?  Where's the love?

They never really gave Manny the attention and concern he deserved as a player and it manifested over time. Now he's gone. Good for Manny.

Good player. At times, he can be great in the locker room. At other times, he can be a cancer (like with the Red Sox).

This last bit of stuff he was doing while he was still in Boston wasn't "Manny being Manny" - it was "Manny being a puppet controlled by his agent".  His agent wanted to make sure that the final 2 years of his contract didn't get picked up because he wouldn't get a commission on that $40 mil.  Now that Manny will be getting a new $100 mil plus contract next year, his agent stands to make quite a lot of money.  Manny acting like a ridiculous baby will benefit his pocket book and I'm convinced his agent orchestrated all the c**p Man Ram was pulling this year.

1: he is slow

(he never runs any hits out or and is horrible in the outfield)

2: he dosnt have a outfield arm

(he never throws anybody out from the outfield, compare his arm to vlads!)

3: he is not a leader

(he is not a team leader, he starts fights and get his team members pist at what he dose in the outfield)

yeah he's got power but thats it.

i would not ever ever ever want him on the angels.

when he stopped having fun on the red sox, he wanted out and the red sox didn't want him anymore anyway.

Sir Lu... He is not slow. There is a difference between not hustling and running speed. He actually has an above average arm and is very accurate with his throws. He played the Monster as good as anyone I have ever seen, if not better. As for on the road D, that was a different story. His leadership, well not everyone leads in a rah-rah way. The Sox have Varitek, Ortiz and Lowell

As for the question, he quit on the Sox. And there is no excuse for that.

He's a moron and a disgrace. I don't understand how people can cheer for him even though he doesn't play hard. I'll never be able to understand. ...........He's taking your money and rubbing your face in it, but it's okay because he's a .300 hitter............Not in my world.

Manny Ramirez can just flat out play baseball, and he looks like he is having fun doing it.  What more can you ask for or deserve as a fan or a team!

I have never seen anything like his immediate impact n the dodgers, torre has changed the line up and the whole team is having fun and so are the fans since Manny arrived, heck Scully's even jazzed.

In LA we are chanting "we're going to the world series and Manny's gonna take us."

The team has put signs in the stadium saying Los Angeles welcomes Manny being Manny.

Nonsense he is a great fielder he just makes it look easy.  don't watch him look at where he came from and where he ended up to catch a fly -- the amount of ground he coverd, not if he looks like he is laboring.

The Los angeles dodges would disagree with you, he leads by having fun and winning.  and in professional sports winning isn't eveything it's the only thing, so dread locks?  -- who cares as long as they win.

Manny can just flat out play the game.

I've been to alot of games, seen Reggie,  Willie Mays Hank Aaron, seeing Manny's first two games as a dodger tops it all -- he's fun -- and he's brought excitement and a new attitude to this town.

He's the right guy for the right town.  I hope they give him what he wants, and I hope to see him hit his 600th homer.  I saw his first as a dodger.

The Bozosox?  They hadn't won a series in 90 years, Manny brings 'em two, you'd a thunk they would have bent over backwards to make him happy, but, no, true to Red Sox form they let him get away, just like they did with Babe Ruth (He was just Babe being the Babe, what about his antics).

I love it when Tim McCarver, a major leaguer for 21 years, bad mouths Manny in his left handed fashion,  guy like McCarver who Steve Carlton made famous, who has a grand total of 97 HRs after 21 years in the majors, bad mouthing a man with 500+ homers an counting.  Gee Tim if it was so easy why didn't you do it.  Maybe you should have let your hair grow.

I can't understand why you women think a guy that looks like he doesn't bath and has dreadlocks down to his a$$ is gorgeous.OH,well maybe the money has something to do with it.What do I think of him?I think he is a pius,pompous,immature,spoiled,ego maniacal,me me me,baby who stomps his feet if he doesn't get what he wants.I would love to listen in on one of this guys conversations when he is out on a date with a woman,I'm sure he has a lot of interesting things to say.
