  1. I have heard that there is summer glacier skiing from the French resort Chamonix/Mont-Blanc.  I have not tried it personally so cannot vouch for it.  There are lifts/trams that run year round.

I also understand it is much less expensive to stay and ski in France than in Switzerland.

  2. Hello, my name is Tim and I live in The Netherlands, where we don't have any mountains (and snow), so fore skiing I went to several countries in Europe; Swiss, Austria and France. The best  and largest ski areas you find in France. Also the highest places to ski. In Tignes you can ski the whole year because there is also a large glacier which is open during the whole year. You can ski there at a hight of 3400mThats the top of the glacier.Tignes is a village at about 2100 meter. Tignes and Val Dísere are two places in the same area and have together about 360 km skislopes. For beginners and experts. The best you can do is take a appartment because the hotels are very expensive. Look at internet at Tignes. Ifyou need more information, I am glad to help you.

  3. There is summer glacier skiing in Austria, France, Italy, and Switzerland.

  4. I have been skiing in the french alps loads of times and yes you can ski in the summer in the Mont Blanc region. Mainly glaciers in the summer but in the winter you can ski as low as 1000m. Brilliant powder skiing in that area. Definitely recommend La Plagne.

    Hope this helps.
