if i'm getting a bus pass, i'm not smiling about ANYthing.

but then i live in the midwest where we all have our own cars.  

if i were in new york city or something, i would smile.

it is hard to smile after they take your money..knowing you are going to have to ride the bus

were i live in California we just buy the fat pass but they don't take a picture of a person. but i guess you can smile if you want to it depends on the mood you are at the time

Over here they don't even put your pictures on bus passes.  But yes, you can smile.  It's not like a passport photo or something.

If you are riding the bus enough to require a bus pass then you have no reason to smile.
