Can you sneak alcohol onto a cruise in your checked luggage?

i'm going on a cruise in a few weeks and i was thinking about trying to sneak a bottle of booze in my suitcase. do they check your bags? has anyone ever gotten away with it? any other cruise tips? i'm cruising carnival...

The cruise line does not check your luggage for booze.

Other tips: save some money for the excursions;  they can be excellent.

Also, ask the staff what to do in each port.

IF they have assigned dinner seating, we always go with the later one; it gives you more time in the day.

The cruise line checks bags better than the airlines does so a word to the wise you can try but you may be caught.

You can carry 1 bottle of wine or one bottle of champagne on board bring your own corkscrew.
