Question:

Can you solve this fox/egg mystery?

You may have heard of foxes burying eggs in gardens, sand, pots, etc. to collect in leaner times. Well I have been finding one or two a day recently but what I can't work out is how on earth the foxes (if they ARE foxes) manage to get into my greenhouse which has, as far as I can tell (and I have inspected) no gaps, cracks or ways in.

What is going on?

By the way, the eggs all have a red date stamp like you buy them in a shop.

Help before I start camping out in the greenhouse to see what they're up to!

Thanks in advance.

  1. Maybe its squizzels, they are clever little things. doubt its foxes-they wouldnt bury it, just gobble it all up and make a big mess.

  2. I think hedge witch is right. Someone is having a joke with you. Set up a booby trap and the yolk will be on them. lol. A fox is unlikley to be able to open a greenhouse door and then close it behind them.

  3. Are you sure someone isn't just having a joke on you?

Do you actually keep shop bought eggs in your greenhouse then?  They are supposed to be in a cool place really!
