1.you need to measure one liter of water,but you have only five-liter bottle and a three-liter bottle.what do you do?

2.seven people arrive at a meeting.Each person shakes hands once with each of the others.How many handshakes were there?

1. fill the 3 liter and pour it in the 5 liter.  fill the 3 liter and pour it in the 5 liter again.   what ever is left is the last liter

3+3=6-5=1 liter

2. 7+6+5+4+3+2+1=28

The first one you fill the three liter, pour it into the five liter, and fill it again, pour it into the five liter again until full which leaves you with 1 liter in the three liter bottle.

For the second one there were ... 28...or maybe 27?
