Can you start homeschooling in the middle of year when you live in Kentucky?

Yes. I am in KY and I did. Write a letter to the school and the school board and officially withdraw from school. Next year have your letter in two weeks before school starts. Make sure they have to sign for the letters so they can't say they weren't sent. HSDLA has the laws listed by state on their website. Check it out.

YES you have every right as a PARENT to take the kids out any time you want!! The school board may pressure you to ride out the year, but don't listen to them!! Homeschooling is totally legal in ALL 50 states! :-)

Parents do not need the schools permission to home school their children.

You can start home schooling them when ever you choose.

Home schooling is a legal alternative to conventional schooling in all 50 states.

Absolutely.  You can begin homeschooling whenever you'd like.  I just lost one of my kids last week when her mom pulled her out to home school.

Sometimes you can depending on your situtation. Virtal I don't think you can get in middle of the year. Unless if it's seasonal. It's up to your schoolboard
