Can you start working when your 14? What would be a good job?

Im gonna turn 14 this year in October and i want to start working durring the summer. Can i start working yet? And if I can what would be a good first job?

Usually this requires a "permit" from the school board.  14 year olds usually baby sit ot cut lawns  Most places can't hire anyone under 15 or 16.
