Can you steam clean a suede like couch??

My couch was sitting in storage for about 6 months plus, and it is grimmy and smells how can i clean it?? Will renting a steam cleaner damage it???

I think that would be fine.  It sounds similar to the couches we have and I am planning to do the same thing.  (3 kids probably have a similar effect as storage when it comes to smells.  lol)  Before I do the entire couch I will do a section in the back or on the side first and let it dry.  Good luck!

Is it suede or microfiber?   Microfiber can be steam cleaned.
