Can you still apply for a maintenance grant after you have started the course for this year?

Is it the same as tuition were you have many months to sort it out, I wonder because if the grant is paid per term and I haven't applied for it but the first term, do I loose that term or all terms?

You can apply for a maintenance grant up to six months after starting a full time course.
