  1. Thats not really a Vegetarian.. But thats how most of them start off!

It is difficult to be a Vegetarian, I know. Sometimes when people are trying to become Vegetarian, they eat meat only once a week, then 1 time in 2 weeks, etc. - until they get used to the fact that they wont eat it at all. So basically they are taking breaks..

If you think you dont want to stop eating meat - or you dont like other things besides meat - then keep on eating it because sometimes if you are a Vegetarian who doesnt really like vegetables or fruits, then you will be unhealthy.

    I hope I helped! :)

  2. Before March this year, I used to tell people that I m a 98% vegetarian, because occationally I did eat some meat.

Since March, I totally stoped eating meat, and now I am proud to tell people that I am a 100% vegetarian.

My next step is to stop eating milk/egg and related product and become 100% vegan.

  3. If your eating a balanced diet, there is no need to eat meat once a week for protein.

My suggestion since it is clear that you don't really understand about a healthy vegetarian diet is to get your parents to make an appointment with your family doctor, see if they can refer you to a nutritionist/dietitian to help you to understand just what it is to eat a vegetarian diet before you attempt to eat what you consider to be such a diet.

You only have one body.  Best to be safe with it and treat it as it needs to be treated.

  4. No, vegetarians don't eat meat at all. There are plenty of vegetarian foods that are high in protein, like almonds, black beans, cashews, kidney beans, lentils, peanut butter, pinto beans, soybeans, soymilk, sunflower seeds, tofu, veggie burgers, etc. It's not necessary to eat meat for protein.

You could gradually transition to a vegetarian diet, though. Here's a guide to make the transition in one month: http://www.tryveg.com/cfi/toc/?v=06makin...

Eating meat just once a week is definitely much better than eating meat at every meal or every day. Helping animals isn't an all-or-nothing thing; you can reduce so much suffering just by cutting down on your meat consumption. Hope this helps!

  5. A celibate person doesn't have s*x once-a-week.  A vegetarian doesn't eat meat at all...If you give it up for most of the week, why would you want to give in and eat it once...So you can eat it once a week, but you won't be a vegetarian.

You don't need to drink protein shakes.  There is such thing as vegetable protein.  It's found in all of those faux vegetarian meat replacements, nuts, beans, legumes, and so on.

You have better do a whole lot more research if you want to be a vegetarian.  You sound like you are 13 or 14.  If you don't do it right you will get sick or you will give up right away.  Please do some more reseearch.

  6. No, not even if it's once a year.

    Protein pills? Haha, funny.

Protein is found in food. Why would a vegetarian need to take pills? We just need to eat.

  7. Don't you get it, the purpose is to stop eating animals period. If you can't do that, then you can't be a vegetarian. Stop trying to cheat and understand the true purpose of this type of lifestyle....to help animals that are in SLAVERY!!!

  8. no, but what if u eat animal crackers... r u still a veggie bug? lol jk!

  9. no but you can get plenty of protein from milk and eggs. if you go vegan you still get plenty from mock meats.

  10. Vegetarians don't eat animal flesh and you don't need to take protein pills either. There are many sources of proteins that aren't from animals such as beans and nuts.

  11. If you still eat meat, even if only a little a week, you are not a vegetarian. You may fall into what they now call "semitarian" or "flexitarian"  meaning you eat a  "mostly" vegetarian diet but still consume minimal amounts of meat, poultry, fish, etc.

Protein comes in many forms. As a vegan (no dairy, eggs, milk, etc.) I don't take vitamins- I get plenty of what I need from foods (although some which are fortified with B12).

Since you can't take pills or supplements (I am assuming seeing a dietician is also out of the question) I suggest:

Eat a lot of healthy foods, get some sun, and do some strength training to keep bones strong. You can get plenty of protein from plants (soy/beans, legumes, nuts are some great examples).

    I hope this helps!

  12. No.  Vegetarians do not eat meat..ever.  Protein pills?  Vegetarians do not need protein pills.  There is ample protein in many other things besides meat.

  13. well you can be a type of vegetarian that only eats white meats, never red meats. so yes you can stil be a vegetarian if you ate only white meat.

  14. no

  15. If you eat meat even once your not a vegetairan

  16. No.....meat is meat and Vegetarians dont eat any type of meat. some do eat fish

  17. well if you want to stay a vegetarian..then no. the whole point of being a vegetarian is not eating meat and eating healthy and nutrient foods.
