You are afraid of heights and don't go on big roller coasters? Because my friends made me feel really bad about not going on Superman, even though they know I'm afraid of heights.

  1. You can be considered brave if you exhibit courage in anything.  It doesn't have to be a roller coaster.  It could be standing up for yourself.

Actually, standing up for yourself against your friends is brave.

  2. Don't let your friends get to you. There are plenty of brave people that would never get on Superman.

  3. Being brave has nothing to do with that. Courage is having strong convictions and standing by them even if they're not popular. Courage is doing something heroic that may be at your expense. Courage is a lot of things, but it's not that.

  4. bravery doesn't mean anything about roller coasters.

Courage is about doing the right thing, when no one else will.

An old friend said I saved her life, from drowning. Everyone else thought she was joking. All I did was jump in, swim out to her and give her a lift. I wasn't brave, or courageous. My friend was scared and I helped. If she had swam a couple of strokes, she could have walked out. I didn't risk anything. She could have held her breath and walked out.No one else paid attention to her.

I've confronted a man with a gun. I knew he wouldn't shoot me. I was scared, but I knew I was safe. He shot like 7 other people days later. Including a good friend. Would I have faced him that day? No way.

The police officers I went to school with, walked into that c**p. My church made me feel really bad, even though I told them and my cop friends, the dude was nuts. It's okay to be scared.

I'm only scared of people. I don't care what anyone says, my instinct screams around scary people. Other than that, I don't scuba. I have some thing about suffocation and scuba divers laugh at me. They can laugh all they want. My bravery doesn't have a thing to do with what scares me.

If you don't want to ride coasters, don't. It's not indicative of your character, or bravery.

  5. You might not be afraid of heights - you might be afraid of dangerous, poorly built, carnival rides!!!  People DIE on those things.  I'm scared to death of heights on poorly built ladders, but I've flown in helicopters without doors and felt safe - because the machine was well made.

Maybe you're smart and not just scared.

  6. Oh my gosh don't stress over things like that..its fine. Trust me there are a lot of people, people you wouldn't expect to be afraid of heights. If they are your friends they should understand that you don't want to go on it and they shouldn't pick on you for it.

  7. its called VERTIGO..nothing to be ashamed of...

  8. You can be brave by ignoring your friends and not beind forced to do something you don't want to.

So for not going on it and standing up to your friends. You're brave.

  9. I used to hate rollercoasters, now I love them

    Yes

  10. Yes, of course your still brave you not defined as brave because you  get on roller coasters
