  1. u can be a successful basketball player without even playing college ball.

anything possible. get yourself noticed by scouts.

  2. ask Micheal "Air" Jordan he was cut from his HS team cause he "wasnt good enough"

  3. You can do some state camps, but if money is an issue there isnt much to do.

The #1 thing that is different between a junior player and a incoming fresh in college, is they have a better aspect of the game.

So playing against people is the #1 thing that will help. Game situations need to be fast and you want to be as accurate as you can be.

Practice ball handling. No matter who you are on the court a college player is a ball handler. The only thing that makes the point guard and center different is most of the time height and post moves. So keep that in mind.

My advice is Go to some camps, keep good grades, practice at home, and if you decide that you want to play HS ( i would, huge difference ) then maybe do homework straight after school or after basketball. And give up a little free time. Its your senior year, grades count the most.

  4. What level of success are you talking about? NBA? College? Pick-up games? If you're talking NBA, I'll say no, emphatically. If you're talking college, I'll say maybe if your planning on walking on to a community college or Juco. I guess the question is why aren't you playing Highschool ball, did you even try out? Did you play your previous years? Do your grades suck? Did you get cut? Is the location full of great basketball talent? Are you playing with the guys on the basketball team? I guess you can do it, but homie you got get your a$$ on a court somewhere. Sorry I answered your questions with more questions but they are all things you need to think about. Go play for your highschool and go to a state camp.

  5. yeah but u gotta get noticed

  6. no becuz people wuldnt recognize u if u didnt n then played later on they wuld just think of u as a has been or never was

  7. i think your best bet would be going to the NBA draft out of high school.  NBA players are known as the best professionalls in the world. YES, I AM JOKING

  8. Yes, you can go to one of those top notch basketball camps that have you play up against some your states best ballers.

  9. yes i believe you can, im trying to now, you just have to work hard and play against good competition. Plus they also have open tryouts for basketballs minor leagues and euro-leagues so if you work on your skills enough you can still make it far no matter what your past is

  10. You definitely need to play high school ball. I talked to my coach this year about this because I too wanted to focus on my grades. But if you don't play, you'll miss out on alot of experience and improvement plus scouts won't get to see you. That's 4 years that you could have used to help you out alot.
