  1. No.

  2. no way man thats stuoid im sorry but it is. you can still eat chicken and be  vegitarian though

  3. Yes

It depends on what type of vegetarian you want to be.

    Pescetarianism  includes fish

Pesco-pollo-vegetarian – includes fish and chicken

Flexi-vegetarianism (or flexitarianism) - is a semi-vegetarian diet involving the practice of eating mainly vegetarian food, but making occasional exceptions for social, pragmatic, cultural, or nutritional reasons.

  4. no..

  5. no! are you crazy?

thats destroying the whole point of it

definition of vegetarian: a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc.

  6. um in my own opinion i would have to say yes because some meat is fake like tofu and ive had a vegetarian meal with tofu its rlly good and tastes like meat my bro is a vegetarian

  7. no what a cop out

  8. No

The entire concept of being a vegetarian is that you do not eat meat... So for example you can still eat animal products ( ie eggs milk ect ) Just no animal flesh- including fish chicken and so on..

Not a stupid question i have friends who call themselves vegetarian but still eat meat and i just dont agree!!!! - Proud vegetarian for 10+ years.

    Hope this helps

    :)

  9. ah no???? the whole point of a VEGE- tarian IS 2 EAT VEGIES ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Well, it really depends a lot on your personal beliefs and definitions.

Some vegetarians eat fish and other kinds of seafood.  That's called "pescetariansim" or more controversially, "pesco-vegetarianism" (Many people don't think this really counts as a form of vegetarianism since fish and seafood are still technically "meat").  Lots of pescetarians choose their diet for health reasons, but some also do it in response to the unethical farming/slaughtering methods of animals like cows, pigs, chickens, etc.

Other than that exception though, vegetarians don't eat meat.

Vegetarianism breaks down into even more groups when you get into categories like Ovo, lacto, ovo-lacto, etc.

  11. If a vegetarian eats a little meat by accident, it's not a big deal.

If somebody intentionally eats meat from time to time and says "I am a vegetarian" no real vegetarian would consider this person to be "one of theirs."

He or she would be ordered to turn in his vegetarian membership card immediately. All vegetarian privileges would cease; no more free vegetarian parking, no more monthly vegetarian check in the mail.

  12. Surely if you want to be a vegetarian and still eat meat .......you'd have to be a venus fly trap?

  13. no way

  14. yes you can still be a vegetarian if you eat meat. my friend is a vegetarian but she has to eat a piece of steak everymonth for her health( to get her energy) another example is that im kinda a vegetarian. i eat fish chicken and pork. i dont like steak or beef or bacon etc. i still classify myself as a vegetarian.

  15. Yes.

  16. No but you can eat meat substitute and tofu make it taste like meat nut no meat... I don't eat chicken either that is still an animal and fish also is an animal so yea

  17. No you can't, simply because of the definition of the word 'vegetarian'.

It's a fairly recently coined word; it was coined by the Vegetarian Society in 1847, and they define it thus:

''A vegetarian is someone living on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with or without the use of dairy products and eggs.

A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustacea, or slaughter by-products.''

It's a word with a specific meaning; claiming to be a vegetarian who eats fish, chicken or other meat is like claiming to be a virgin who has s*x,  a pacifist who fights wars, or an atheist who believes in god.

    It's a contradiction in terms.

If people who eat no other meat than fish and/or chicken, or who eat meat once, twice or 20 times a year want a name for themselves, that's fine. But they can't just borrow another word with a completely different meaning

  18. Unless you mean mock meat, then no.

  19. there are certain levels of vegetarianism.

some people just give up red meat.

some give up everything but fish.

i have friends who are "vegetarian by taste"

    so yes you can.

  20. no

  21. no, hence it being "vegetarian"...

buuut, i see where your coming from because you can have anorexia and still eat on occasion and still be considered anorexic.

  22. No  vegetarian  means  no  meat  but some  eat fish and still think they are vegetarian.

  23. No, a vegetarian doesn't eat animals(i.e. meat)

So your asking if you can be a person that doesn't eat animals that does eat animals?
