I recently saw an old polaroid camera at an antique store. I was just wondering if they still sell polaroid film? It is probably from the 60s or around that time.

  1. Yes you can still get polaroid film. Most places only carry the Spectra/Image film or the 600 film. If the camera takes those then you're in luck for the next few years while they go through whats left of their stock. I believe they are in the process of getting rid of their film plants. But that could be a rumor.

  2. Polaroid has stopped making film. While currently, you can still find most films, including the 600 type films, once places run out, that will be it.

The sole exception are the 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 packfilms, which Fuji has licensed and is currently producing.

Whether or not you could use the camera you saw in the antique store would depend on the type of film it used.

  3. It's not a rumor, they are stopping the production of their film. They said anyone is welcome to take over, but they're done.

You can buy film for the next few years, but your old one might not take it. My sister got an old one at a garage sale, and I got her some film (I have a newer Polaroid) and it didn't work for her.

Get a five pack (cheaper than the ten, and I think it's the smallest you can get.) and try it out. If it doesn't work, they (the store you bought it from) might let you return it.
