  1. Try it and see.

  2. You can not cash it at your bank, but if you can go to the bank it's drawn on then you can. All checks are cashed against an account, weather it be yours or the other person's, until the funds are proven available. If you go to your bank and you have a negative balance then they have no money to hold until the check clears so most places won't cash it. My suggestion is to suck it up and pay the three dollars at Wal-Mart. Or call your bank and see if they have an early overdraft resolution department that will let you set up payment arrangements and allow you to cash your check if you make a payment toward the owed balance.

  3. just tell them you don't have an account and they should cash it for you. i do it all the time.

  4. You can depending on if you have overdraft protection. If you do find out what your limit is. For example we have a 750.00 overdraft. So you are 100.00 overdrawn you can cash a check up to 650.00. Anything more than nope can't help you, but you really should just bring it up to a positive balance it will help you in the long run.

  5. If the check is from your bank, you may be able to get away with it, unless the employees recognize you as having an overdraft account.

If the check is not from your bank and you take it to them anyway, you will have to pay the overdraft before getting any cash.

  6. No, they make you deposit it to bring the account positive.
