My boyfriend and I are desperately trying to get pregnant, and for the past 2 months we've had s*x during my days of ovulation, and still no positive pregnancy test. I just want to know if anyone has gotten pregnant when they weren't ovulating. I'm 22, and basically at my prime age to get pregnant apparently, and we're trying so hard with no results. Thank You for any input, it will all really help!

  1. Sometimes when you think you're not ovulating, you could be ovulating. That tradition midway cycle ovulation method is a bunch of hooey. If you have a 28 day cycle then by the 14th day you should start ovulating, not so. You can get pregnant at anytime really. You can get pregnant before, during, or after your period. If you wanna keep up with when you're actually ovulating, you can buy one of those ovulation kits. Get the one thats $300 instead of the one use kind.

I did read an online article that says sometimes you can try too hard and that will affect your chances at conception. Good luck!

  2. Healthy women have about a 25% chance of becoming pregnant each cycle. So keep trying, and if you have no luck in 6 months of trying, see a doctor.  A women who doesn't ovulate EVER is unlikely to become pregnant. A women is also less likely (but there is still a chance) to become pregnant if she is having intercourse on days she is not ovulating during her cycle.

  3. FIrst of all, don't stress about it. Chances are you are perfectly fine. Only two months is not that long. I am 24 and my husband and I tried for almost a year (9 months to be exact) before we got pregnant.  The best thing to do is stop putting so much stress on yourself and your body. It will happen exactly when it is supposed to happen for you two. Enjoy the life you have right now.
