Can you still get us citizenship if your spouse is illegal immigrant?

i have green card for 5 years and it's time for me to apply for citizenship, but my spouse is illegal immigrant.his Visa expired. can i still apply for us citizenship.is it possible to get us citizenship in my case? please help!!!! thank you

The application for citizenship requires marital status information, including spouse's social security number, and current immigration status. If you lie and withhold this information, your citizenship can be revoked for fraud. When you sign the application you are stating that your responses are accurate and true under penalty of perjury.

His status has nothing to do with your status. Yes, you can still become a citizen. Then you can work on getting him a green card.

Do not say anything about him as otherwise you may be arrested for harboring an illegal alien.

As for him, because he is here illegally, if he applies for adjustment of status from inside the USA, he will be deported and be slapped with a 10 year ban from entering the USA.

the best way to do is to go ahead and apply for ur citizenship and once we are approved, ur husband will apply for an adjustement of status
