Can you still get your license if you havn't had your permit for a year & a day if your 17?

ok. i turned 17 this last june. can i go get my license even though i only had my permit for 10 monthes?

Each state sets its own laws for what hoops its new drivers have to jump through, so we can't know, since we don't know where you live.

I believe you can. May be specific to state laws because they're definitely not all the same.  However, I was under the impression when I was learning to drive the minimum was 6 months and then you take the written and drive test. If you pass- YAY.  Couldn't hurt to call and ask, could it?  Your state laws may differ and I got mine 9 years ago.
