  1. It all depends on how good you are, what makes you stand out from all the rest? Getting sponsored is easy, it's getting paid that isn't. You will have to prove yourself if you want to make this your career. I would start by getting sponsored by somebody who can afford to pay for you surf entry fees and possibly travel expenses. Once you win some contents, you will get more recognition and possibly get better sponsors. In order to make the big bucks, not only do you have to be a good surfer but you have to be photogenic (marketable). Kelly Slater wouldn't get paid millions if he was ugly. Don't get me wrong, you can still make money, just not as much.

Anyways, keep it up and enter some pro circuits so you can get some recognition (i.e. make a name for yourself).

If all else fails, get a Japanese sponser and move to Japan, less competition and more money. :)

  2. I'm not into to competition (not against mind you, just not into it). But I would give you the same answer for this question that I give for a lot others. Go to your local surf shop. Talk to the surfers there. Does the shop sponsor individuals or a competition team? Do folks who work at the shop compete? Get the right answers, face to face with real surfers, not just a bunch of anonymous people on line.

  3. idk but i hope so that would be asowome im sure to like 24 they arnt to interested look online and see the avarge age look on pacsun i guess cause they have a surfing team
