The armrest is soft and made of the same material as the rest of the seats.

  1. If it folds up and has anchored belts.........

  2. yes you can I wok for a towing co. and I know you can do it you just got to make it tight

  3. Fold up the arm rest and see if it fits. If so, stap it in as long as the seat is forward facing.

  4. Some seats (like Evenflo) aren't able to be installed in front of an armrest.

It's important to read the owner's manual of both your vehicle AND your child restraint!

  5. does the armrest fold up or is it removable?

  6. Check the manual for the car and the manual for the car seat: some Ford cars and some Evenflo car seats specifically prohibit using them in positions where the vehicle has an fold down arm rest. But if it doesn't say anything in either manual then its safe to do.

  7. You need to check your vehicle manual.

My 2001 Honda CRV has the fold down soft arm rests and does allow for center installs.
