Can you still play Virtual Console games on the Wii once you have lost internet connection?

Well my house does not have any internet connection so i usually bring my Wii to my cousin's house for Online play, but im thinking of bringing Wii shop points to my cousin's house and buying some Virtual console games like Paper Mario and Zelda Ocarina of time, so if i buy my games there then bring it back to my house will i still need an Internet connection after i have bought the Virtual Console games? Also can anyone give me Suggestions on wat VC Games should i buy.

You don't need a connection to play the games. Once they've been downloaded to your console, you can play them. No extra connection required.

You need not use the internet connection at all once your VC games are on your Wii since they play directly from your Wii and not online. ;)
