  1. No. You can't smoke anywhere indors in public places.

  2. The majority (if not all) are now non-smoking.

  3. A few will offer smoking or non smoking. I don't really understand how they manage this as smoking is banned in all public buildings. We went to a premier travel inn a couple of months ago and were asked if we wanted smoking or non smoking.

The regulations actually state ' smoking will no longer be permitted in any enclosed or substantially enclosed premises or vehicles that are open to the public including pubs, restaurants and all places of work (some exceptions apply including designated smoking rooms in hotels or residential nursing homes). http://www.nosmokinglaw.co.uk/english_ba...

  4. I stayed in the Jury's Inn at MK a couple of weeks ago and they still offer smoking rooms. Must say that i was a bit surprised at this, but there you go...

  5. no you can't.

  6. In the UK they are ALL non smoking.

  7. All no smoking. It's still a room to be shared with other public members(not at the same time)

  8. You can not smoke in hotel bedrooms in England any more. All public accomodation is non-smoking as from 1st

    July 2007

  9. All  non smoking, I think

  10. I believe that the law says they should all be non smoking. However I travel away a lot and about 50% of places I have stayed have still asked me if I want a smoking or non smoking room.

  11. Despite what people might think, there ARE still B&B's that allow smoking. I know, because I have booked to stay in one in Minehead next week. As long as ALL the guests staying are smokers, some private letting houses that allow smoking are available.

  12. I would think that the answer is a definite NO

  13. Under the new smoking laws they are all non smoking!

  14. I work for Barcelo Hotels UK and it is not the law that hotel rooms have to be non somking.

Smoking is illegal in a public place, but a hotel room, is not a public place, therefore it is down to the hotel chain wether or not they decide to have smoking rooms.

  15. The no-smoking laws do not apply to hotel rooms (or many other places such as care homes or prisons which are considered primarily as 'residences'), however many hotels voluntarily only have no-smoking rooms. Ask when you book, you should be able to request a smoking room in many places. Hx

  16. Quite a few are also also adding a whacking sum to your bill if you smoke in your room.

This is to cover the cost of having all fabrics cleaned to remove any smoke smells.

I think you'll find, too, that many are now fitting smoke detectors in all rooms.

  17. hotel bedrooms have been reclassified as your own personal space though they are still allowed to ban it because its their property. I know cos i noticed a lot of signs up in Blackpool advertising smoking bedrooms and queried it with my hotel landlady.

  18. Just do it out the window!
