Can you still tan if it's only 70 degrees outside?

  1. Of course you can.  The air temperature has no bearing on the strength of the suns UV rays.  You can tan all winter long, if you can stand the cold.

  3. Its the UV index that matters, not the temperature. To tan, you need ultraviolet radiation. However, you'd probably rather tan in 70 degree weather rather than something lower than 50.

  4. Yes. It's the UV rays that cause you to tan, not the temperature. My mom once got a tan in the winter. (New England Winter)
