Can you still tan while your skin is peeling off?

So I wen to the bach a week ago, and 2 days afterwards, I noticed a little sunburn and that my skin was peeling off. So my question is if I can still tan today that I am going to the bach again? I can still see a little skin on my face, but it is not as serious as before.
