  1. Industrial pollutants: Solid Waste, Toxic Waste, Water & Air Pollutiion.

Whenever a business has a "waste product" of manufacturing or power, [in the US], they must apply for a permit from the State Department of Environmental Quality or Ecology and Pollution, etc.

When a company applies for a permit, they are required to give a predicted measurement of what type of pollutants they will emit, usually over the course of a year or half year. Part of the application process requires them to post a "Public Notice" in the local newspaper(s) for a period of at least 2 weeks. This gives the public notice so that they can dispute or have more say on the issuance of permits for pollution.

Upon approval of the permit, [depending upon the State regs], the Industry must ante up a dollar amount per year based on how many toxins they will emit. Upon their semi-annual or annual reports, or complaints or spills, if it is found they are exceeding their pollutants, their permits go through a modification process to allow them more toxic emissions at a higher dollar amount.

Some States have started programs to stop this way of permitting, but for now this is the Standard. Citizens you do have a voice, you just have to read those boring public notices in the back of the want-ads, and keep your phone or computer lines open to your Representatives, Congress People and your Governor.

    Bless

  2. the unwanted things produced by industries which effect the surroundings containing land , water , several species as well as surrounding air by decreasing its quality of it purity is called industrial pollution

  3. One of the major environmental issues in our world is Industrial pollution. Industries are the main problem of the degradation of resources that keep organisms alive and global warming. Although it is a huge success to the human race, this success come with a huge price. Thousands of wetlands around the world are too polluted to support an aquatic ecosystem all because of the chemical that is dumped in the wetlands. Thousands of factory pipes release harmful chemicals into the wetlands. This has disrupted the ecoysystem by imbalancing the amount of organisms. This is only one out of a million environmental issue but probably one of the most influential one to the environment. Something must be done to end this crisis.
