Can you suggest a brand that provides pure omega 3 fish oil?

I would like to buy omega 3 from fish oil at my local pharmacy or natural store, but i don't know if they are all safe and pure even though they write 100% pure omega 3. In these stores I can buy the Jamieson brand. I am really looking forward to find out if they provide with pure (no mercury) fish oil.

Other available brands are

*Webber Naturals *NOW Foods

Are they 100% pure (no mercury) fish oil?

Thanks for any help... :)

  1. Jamieson's Omega-3 Complete is formulated using EPA and DHA in their natural triglyceride form for optimal bioavailability. It contains vitamin E in the form of natural mixed tocopherols to prevent oxidation and maintain the freshness of the fish oil. The EPA and DHA are extracted from sardines, mackerel, and anchovy, which contain fewer contaminants than other cold water fish because they feed directly on plankton. Jamieson fish oil is further purified using a gentle molecular distillation process to remove all traces of mercury and other micro-contaminants. This pharmaceutical grade product contains 400 mg of EPA and 200 mg of DHA in each capsule. This is one of the highest potency levels available on the market today!

webber naturals® fish oil products contain only MEG-3™ Omega-3 Fish Oils. MEG-3™ products are absolutely guaranteed to meet label claims for strength, purity, and quality. In fact they have the reputation of setting the industry standard for quality. MEG-3™ fish oils are Canadian-manufactured from the largest private marine research laboratory in North America.

  2. I read an article in Mens' Health that was interesting. It said that the Fish Oil that is used for FDA purposes, in other words, the Fish Oil all the results are gathered from, was the equivelant of a wal mart brand generic Fish Oil and that Fish Oil is Fish Oil is Fish Oil. Anything else is just marketing.

  4. I started taking fish oil last year for my cholesterol and I just buy it from my grocery store.  I use spring valley brand 1000mg its coated so you dont get fishy burps and it 99.99% purified fish oil.  With exercise my cholesterol went from 230 to 176 in 3 months so I believe in them.
