  1. Try making bug houses from old garden canes stuffed tightly into a plastic bottle with top & bottom cut off to make cylinder.

Go out into the woods to make a den out of dead branches and tieing together using ferns or long grasses twisted together & covered with turf for extra camoflage.

  2. You should all go camping. And don't use ANY electricity or stuff like that. And while you're there, you guys can have discussion on how to go green and what you can do that's easy and fun. And also do some craft projects and stuff.

Or have competitions within your club. Split up into 2 or 3 groups and see who can make a street look the nicest by planting trees, picking up trash, planting flowers, and etc. Give them like a week to do it, and then have parents and other friends help judge.

Hope that helps! And I really appreciate what your club is doing!

  3. Turn off the lights/computers/etc when not in use

    Walk or Ride a Bike/Skateboard/Scooter

Turn off the water when brushing your teeth

    Take shorter showers

    Buy reusable grocery/shopping bags

Buy eco-friendly cleaning products such as Method

    RECYCLE

There are many things we can do to live "greener" lifestyles

  4. Building/using compost heaps.

Water butts - attaching to gutters.

Gardening for wildlife - ponds, corrugated iron (for reptiles), birdtables, birdboxes, bat boxes, plants which attract insects and birds.

Volunteer work at local nature reserves.

Cleaning rivers, litter picking and weeding.

Eat less meat, more vegetables (recipes?).

Economical driving - correct tyre pressures, slower acceleration, optimal speeds (55-65), minimising braking by looking ahead etc.

  5. driving a hybrid car? riding a bike instead?

  6. Living in the woods under a lean to is pretty green.

  7. How about planting some trees.  The enviroment could do with some extra breathing pores.  But don't be tempted to take your tools to where you need them by car - walking is healthier and you get to see more of the countryside whilst your on your way. Or you could dig a pond.  Keep fit, help nature. And have fun
