Currently I am using Loreal Paris Bare Naturale. It is a mineral makeup, however whenever I apply it, it looks too caked on and I only use a little bit. I think it is time to switch. The color I am using now is natural beige. My face is really red, and I have some acne problems (a couple of zits here and there). I have one or two acne scars, and my pores on my nose is a HUGE PROBLEM!!! Based on what I said can you recommend me a decent, fairly priced foundation and or cover up that is light weight, looks classy, and can help my problems. Do you have any other beauty tricks that can help my problems? Thanks

  1. You need to quit using drugstore brands. I know they are easiest to pick up and for cheap, but you are not doing your skin any favors. Drugstore brands us ethe cheapest fillers and chemicals they can get their hands on, they really do not care what goes into the product as long as it is cheap, as they spend the majority of the money on advertising and celebrity endorsements. This is a fact. I answer these questions all day long. Loreal bare naturale uses a laundry list of uneeded fillers in their mineral makeup, making it look heavy and cakey. Not to mention if it has pink undertones it will make you look worse (not good for acne etc). I being a professional makeup artist use FAERIE ORGANIC MINERALS http://www.faerieorganic.com They go on light and airy, leave you glowy and yet cover amazing! You can't beat that. I use it daily on myself and my clientele. You can get a FREE sample kit at their site (you just pay shipping-like $5.99) check it out, you will love it!

  2. clinique clarifying powder makeup is just over $20, has moderate coverage, and is oil free. =]

clinique acne solutions concealing stick also workss superrr well, its oil-free, has salilyc acid to clear acne, and conceals large pores(i hate my pores on my nose too [: ) it also looks really natural but stilll covers acne. and i think its only like $13.50...

    hope this helps : )

  3. Ok, well, I use Loreal Bare Naturale also, and i love it. Mineral makeup often gives a powdery look which can look cakey. You might want to try a setting spray. I use Aquafina's Hydrating Facial Spray. Just mist it all over your face after you finished your foundation, concealer and trans. powder, and it will set it and get rid of the powdery cakey look.

Another way to use the spray is to get the foundation onto your brush, then mist the brush with the spray, it will give a smoother application.

Another spray is Mac's Fix+, but it's kind of expensive.

    Hope this helps!

  4. hey.. so i've used many different makeups.. and the one i keep on going back to is covergirl tru blend whipped foundation. its so light but it covers really good, and one jar last me about 2 months! its about 10 bucks a jar but its worth it.. you said your face was red which can be good, for example this make up will cover enough of the redness but still leave some that will give you a natural blush..and the acne scars. i have them too but this make up covers them nicely.. and its NOT cakey at all.. it blends really good..

    hope this helped

  5. I use neutregina foundation.

    It's really amazing!

it gets rid of all pimples! and covers them up until they're gone, it takes a few days for them to go away though.
