I am planning to take my little brother (who is eleven right now) to Australia. He is obsessed with that country, and I would really like to go. We were wanting a more organic experience, rather than the standard tourist places. We do want to be near the coast to enjoy the lovely Australian surf. Is it expensive to stay there. I already have an idea of the cost to fly there, but I am researching how much it will cost to actually be there. If you have any info, it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Try places like Fraser Island, the Sunshine Coast (Gold Coast is very touristy), Cairns is fairly nice and a good place to explore the Great Barrier Reef from.

  2. Well the beaches are best in QLD... if you don't want the real touristy spots go to the Sunshine Coast.  It is definately worth a trip to Stanthorpe too if you are around Brisbane.  The blue mountains are great for an escape as well.  Tasmania is not so popular with tourists but has some lovely spots.  There are just so many areas in Australia that you can go - too many to list here.  But if you want the beaches then definately Queensland is the go.

As far as expenses go - that changes wherever you want to go.  It depends what you want as well.  Decent motels start at $50 a night while backpackers are obviously very cheap ($10 a night) or Hotels can be more like $100+.  It just depends what you want.

Have a great trip and say hi to me if you come to Brissy!

  3. i would suggest you go with Adelaide,Adelaide is one of the best ways to get around and see Adelaide and throughout Australia.

Adelaide  is located midway between Gulf St Vincent and the Mount Lofty Ranges, both of which are a short drive from the city.

and you told how much cost, than it depend on which type of have you get facility?,it there 3 start or 4 start hotel and  camper vans  available,it on you which you want to get journey vehicle and stay.

if you select with this may be you get discount offer and all other facility. just for suggest you.that means it on you how muuch your budget.. :)

    Adelaide Airport Motel

Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Brooklyn Park

  4. You don't say how old you are ,if I was you I'd look into travelling by train and stay in bed and breakfasts so that you get to meet local people . Adelaide and Melbourne might be good .Happy travelling !!
