  1. Kites might be fun. My daughter made one of heavy paper shaped like a big fish and painted designs on it. Wired the mouth open and it really flew.

We  made stepping stones pouring instant cement in aluminum rounds, and stuck in shells and those colored half glass things.

We glued little shells around a wood embridery hoop and hung some from it for a mobile.

  2. get some plastic canvas and give them some string and go for it...Michaels has alot of foam crafts for kids

  3. Lots of stores(like Walmart, or the craft stores)have kits that are supppose to be age appropriate. Or maybe if there are hobby stores in your area, take the boys in and see what they like.

  4. Go fishing, camping, or the zoo/aquarium.  My kids and I never ever get enough of the zoo or aquarium trips. We love the ripley's in tenn. We go there at least twice a year more if we can afford it. there is also a neat dinosaur walk museum.

Any museum would be cool too, there are a lot of children's hands on stuff to do at them.

If you are looking for something at or near home, try playing some baseball or frisbee. Go on walks or to local recreation centers close by. Even camp out in your back yard. Or try to get pieces of wood and build bird houses. You could make money off of them at a flea market if you make more than a few.

  5. I would start with something they have an interest in,, anything outside of their interests would be "boring" to them, so stick with what they like. Stop in at your local hobby shop and look around. I'll bet you find something that they'll like, and you too, but stay within your budget. Projects have a way of taking over your paycheck! Good luck.
