The effect of irony on the reader is to give readers a moral lesson about fighting. If the reader saw what a mistake fighting is then he/she wouldn’t do it. Mostly the effect or feeling that the readers feel is sadness. When the author wrote this irony is made war look like not a bright idea or a waste of time and pointless way of handling things that they can solve. He is trying to tell us that there are other ways of working out a problem or argument talk over it or ask for help if you can figure out a solution by them self. The irony the author used made the whole story end in tragic even if the person killed is or isn’t his brother it doesn’t matter the person who killed his brother had feelings such as excitement and victory but one he saw it was his brother he felt anger, sadness. Although he killed the other person and it wasn’t his brother it would have changed nothing because his family would be sad by his death and they would be very angry and they might want revenge which might start fights between two families and it could turn into a big thing such as war it self. If the reader might be a criminal and he read this story he might see violence differently and that person might stop completely being a criminal and become into a civilized person. The major effect of the irony the author used will mostly impact youth groups because when children or teens read this the will see how violence is bad and they might stop be a bully or stop playing violence games and see violence in a whole other way. I said that the irony effects more children then teens because adults already know what is right and wrong while children do not and some teens too. This will make them doing such violence acts and this will them become into a good adult as well as a future ace.
