  1. You  can sunbathe in Mexico all year (in Cancun) but the the higher in geography the colder i'lll be in the winter. But if it's in the Riviera Maya July it's a great time.

It hasn't rained in a month or so, it's pretty dry right now. It rains esporadically, so you couldn't say exactly when it's gonna be perfect, but if it's sunny, be sure to use enough sunscreen cause the heat is almost unbearable,  you can imagine what a 31 - 35 °C is going to do to your skin.

  2. Hola!  Again, if it does rain, it lasts about 1 hour and is usually overnight.  You can sunbathe here any time of the year.  It is hot hot hot

  3. Like the US, Mexico is a very large country, so the weather will depend on what part of Mexico you're visiting.  I live about an hour south of Cancun on the Caribbean coast and, though it does sometimes rain in July, the rain here is usually in the form of intermittent showers that pass quickly (sometimes they happen even IN bright sunshine).  It's very rare that we have an all-day rain or a weather system that hangs over us for days, but it does sometimes happen.

As for sunbathing, please do NOT underestimate the strength of the sun here!  Even though I've lived here for 4 years and maintain a good suntan, I still can get burned if I'm not careful and I have to limit my time in the sun.

You absolutely must be diligent in applying sunscreen and be careful to get "forgotten" areas like the tops of feet and ears, hairline and part (and between those braids if you get them, underarm area, and the edges of your suit.  You can't enjoy a vacation if you have to stay inside to heal from a severe burn, and that can happen in a matter of minutes in this sun.  (And it's even easier to get burned here on an overcast day, so never go out without sunscreen, regardless of the weather.)

    BE CAREFUL!!!

  4. The regions of Mexico differ in their climate so it really depends on where you go. Generally if you travel to the South Yucutan Peninsula where Cancun is the main base, it can rain any time as its in the tropical zone, whereas the northern states are quite dry. Check the link below to give you a bit more guidance.

You will love mexico even if it does rain, it will be beautifully warm!

  5. it almost never rains there
