Can you survive only eating fast food?

I've been eating nothing but fast food for the past 4 years, how long do i have to live??

I alternate between subs, burgers, fried chicken and pizza.

  2. no i will die cause fast food is soooooooo bad for you, i need something healthy, like vegies, n i dont like their salads cause even though its salad it actually has sugar in it. if you dont believe me watch super size me. that movie will show you how disgustiing it is so just live on fast food.

  9. You might die at 60, you might die at 90. It has to do with your genetics. If your grandfather lived to be 100 you probably will too. Fried food was actually more common in the past than now. In times long past, meat (in the city) wasn't always the best. So they would deep fry it. You can deep fry anything and people will eat it.

    Now. If you are not taking a multivitamin I would suggest that you do. You want to get some nutrients into your body, and a single multivitamin a day is an easy thing to add to your life. Try to not eat the skin of the fried chicken. That's where most of the fat and calories are located.

    Pizza is high calorie even for one slice. Some pizza restaurants are double the calories just because it's greasy. Some pizza places have thin / crispy pizza and it's real light. Pizza can be very low calorie if you order it with a bit of parmesan instead of mozz. And if you get it with vegetables, all the better.

    Burgers (fried red meat) every day isn't good. Can I interest you in some pasta or some baked cod? How about a chef salad / cobb salad / countryside salad? How about a baked pork chop and a baked potato?

    Learn to love vegetables that are tasty. Mushrooms, onions, zucchini, squash, and beans are all very good.

    Maybe some days you should just eat soup. Soup is good for you, and it's more nutrious than any of the things you like to eat.

  11. Of course you can survive, but the medical bills are going to be enormous when you go diabetic.

    If the foods were more natural, they wouldn't be so likely to cause disease.  At least some things are getting better, though, like the removal of trans fats.  It's the weird, chemically processed stuff that really does you in.  Trans fats clog up the arteries way faster than a cholesterol laden egg yolk, because our bodies aren't made to digest weird chemicals.  So your fried chicken is better for you now than it used to be.

      Processed white flour is another problem.  It has no fiber left from the grain it originally came from, so it turns into sugar in your body.  Add that to the refined sugar in the sodas, on the fries, etc. and that's diabetes waiting to happen.

    Try adding some sort of high fiber food, like a whole grain cereal in the morning (Kashi is good) and you might just counteract some of the bad effects from the rest of your admittedly tasty, albeit rather expensive, diet.

  12. it's not healthy, this guy did this study where he went and ate at mcdonalds only for a month, by three weeks the whites of his eyes had gone a light yellow, he was overweight, had no energy, and had to be rushed to the hospital.

  16. well it depends on what kind it is like on that movie Supersize Me where this guy has to eat nothing but mc.donalds and if they asked him if he wanted to supersize that meal he had to do it. it was not very healthy and he gained a lot of weight.  Now if you ate subway their might be different results and you might loose weight because they make  their food healthy

You can survive eating only fast food.  But you might end up looking like a whale.  If I was you, I'd decide on something else for the next 4 years.  UNLESS -- you are like my older brother.  He can eat anything whenever and not gain an ounce.  He used to eat a couple candy bars for breakfast and loose with.  Me, all I had to do was smell them and I gained 5 pounds. But anyway, it's not good for you at all.   Start eating healthily or at least a little healthier.

In the past, a person's life expectancy was lower then today because so many people died at an early age due to infections and accidents.  That changed as infectious diseases were eradiated by antibiotics and other medical advances and because the accident rate was lowered by safety rules and procedures. Now we "live longer", but really most people die a slow progressive death. Most people live with and die of degenerative diseases - high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimers, etc.
