  1. as a teenager I once cleaned our pool while it was about 50 and it was very far from comfortable.  I guess you could get used to it in bare skin, but it probably be smarter to get a wet suit that can keep some of the heat in.

  2. It won't be comfortable, but you can swim in it.  Long term exposure (like a few hours) will start causing problems, though, and you'll probably develop hypothermia.  It could eventually kill you if you stay there long enough.

But a quick dip for a few minutes won't hurt you.

  3. Comfortably?  Doesn't that vary from person to person. I have swam in water colder than 61 degrees.  I kept moving around in the pool though and swam lengths to keep warm so I was comfortable. If you were just sitting there you would not be comfortable.

  4. Sure you can! I guess it depends on personal preference though.

  5. Of Course!! who can't?

  6. i swam in such cold water it wa hard to breathe

i would say just do laps and dont think about the temp

once you get your body going you shouldnt have a problem

but dont push yourself too hard and if you feel you need to get out, do so

you dont want to hurt yourself
