Is it safe and healthy to swim in Albert Park Lake in Melbourne Australia?

If it is safe, does the sediment in it make it uncomfortable to swim in?

Finally, is the lake deep enough to swim in - or do your hands touch the bottom of the lake?

  1. why? just go swimming at a pool.

  2. I don't think so. Plus, why, you are right next to the Melbourne Aquatic Center, two pools.

It would be a lot more fun to get a kick to kick on one of the several footy ovals in the Park.

  3. ummm, ive been sailing on it, i wouldnt swim in it

its not as clean as the average pool or rural lake, the dirty nd c**p on the bottom is pretty bad, also the waters extremely cold and when u hit the bottom u dont know whether ur going to land on a bottle or syringe or somthin.

In terms of depth its not that deep, u can stand up in almost all parts of the lake, not that i would recommend it, but its not like its too shallow to go swimming in.

just stick to sailing and rowing i think
