Can you swim with contacts on?

I have disposable contact lenses (every month) and I want to know if I would be able to swim with them on......i'm going to be swimming a lot in the Summer

You can swim with your contacts in, though you probably need to wear good goggles and know that you can loose your contacts in the water. My eye doctor told me it was alright to wear my contacts in the pool (though I can't wear them in the pool for races because if my goggles fall off when I dive in the contacts come out or get folded up in your eye). Though I would suggest consulting your eye doctor before you decide whether or not to wear your contacts in the pool. If your eye doctor says not to wear your contacts in the pool I'd suggest getting a pair of prescription goggles at your local swim shop so you can still see while you are swimming.

Yes you can. I swim with mine in. Just don't open your eyes under the water.

I find my contacts dry out when I swim with them, but you can use re-wetting eye drops to fix this (eye drops are next to contact solution in most stores).  I don't recommend opening your eyes under water, but I think some people do.

Contacts can be worn as suggested by many answerer's.

Prescription goggles are a good alternative as they give a bit more freedom when in the water. The drawback is, depending on how bad your eyesight is, you will not be able to see whilst walking around unless you keep the goggles on - not a great thing to have to do.

My ultimate recommendation, depending on your age (you'd need to be over 21), would be to have laser eye surgery. I did over a year ago and the difference is amazing. I stopped swimming for many years because I couldn't see as i walked around. I can now see perfectly and swim all the time.

I wear the same kind of contacts and I do swim with them, but I wear swim goggles if I plan to go under water. I would be worried that they would float away without the goggles.

i do. and nothing bad happened to me, but i have goggles on, and i if i don't, i close my eyes. ur contacts might dry up if u open ur eyes underwater.
