Can you sync a new Ipod to a computer without losing the stuff from an Ipod previously synced to that computer

I currently have an Ipod synced to my computer with a bunch of music in my Itunes library.

I want to get a new Ipod with more gigs and sync it to my computer, but I don't want to have to download all the songs again.

Is there any way to do this?

  2. Yes, you just need to register your iPod to the new computer, then you can sync stuff to iPod.

Or you may try this ipod transfer, it's a nice iTunes alternative that can help you sync music and video to iPod, it will not delete your existing files on iPod

  3. You can sync as many ipods as you want with one itunes library.

Syncing makes the ipod music look like the itunes librarys music.  Not vice versa.

    My advice.  STOP SYNCING

Manually manage your ipods!  This way you will never ever have anything deleted unless you personally right click and delete it.  You just drag and drop the songs, playlists, videos you want from the music library to the ipods name.

If it is manually managed you can use your ipod with any computer and any itunes library without worrying about anything getting deleted.

  4. Yep, yu can even connect them at the same time and nothing will happen to your music, videos or podcast
