Can you take BB guns into Mexico?

I know its illegal to take firearms into Mexico but can I take BB guns?

if your car is searched  the cops will more than likely take it and give you a large fine if you are going hunting you half to register your guns at the border and that doesn't apply for a bb gun  just buy one when you get were your gong if its that important

with all the stories and talk about how corrupt Mexican police are I would not take the chance before you end up shelling out money for a bribe.

I don't know if there is a specific law about this, but I would say it would be extremely unwise. Border and military guards Very sensitive about this kind of thing. I think taking anything that remotely looks like a gun into Mexico would be extremely foolish.
