Can you take Claritin, Iboprofen, and Amoxycillin at the same time?

Pharmacists told me to take Claritin and my perscription for a sinus infection, but my head feels like it's about to split open. Can I take Ibuprofen too?

Make sure not to take the ibuprofen on an empty stomach, but this combination of meds should be okay.

Yes, you should be able to. I worked in the over the counter pharmacy and learned a lot about them. I know you can take ibuprofen with amoxycillin and claritin is actually called laratidine and is ok to take with most anything. If your still in doubt though, call the pharmacist and ask. they know just as much as doctors do if not probably more about medications and you usually can get through to a pharmacist quicker than a doctor. Just be sure to eat or drink something first, and if you don't want to take a chance on the two intermixing, then try to steam your sinuses, and maybe this will open them up causing the headache to stop

How does your body usually react to antibiotics? If you generally get a stomachache or gastrointestinal distress from antibiotics, don't take ibuprofen. Ibuprofen will just make an upset stomach worse, and you may end up giving yourself an ulcer.

You'd be better off taking acetaminophen (Tylenol).

yes it's fine to take them all at the same time or together. your head will start to feel better once the antibiotic (amoxicillin) starts to kick in after a few doses. just make certain u take the antibiotics until gone. don't stop when u start to feel better. just use the ibuprofen as needed until then.
