Can you take Trazodone and tramadol together?

Question

I have been taking the tramadol for chronic facial pain (NICO) for over a year and am going to take the trazodone at night to attempt sleep.

You can and most ppl. do Trazadone is an Antidepressant,Tramadol(ultram) is a muscle relaxant so called pain pill .It really depends on why the Dr prescibed the meds

probably not

they both suppress the central nervous system

also tramadol can cause "seritonin syndrome"

there may be a synergistic effect with trazadone.
