For now, you can.  If NCL gets its way, you won't be able to in the future.  There's a change pending in enforcement of the laws regarding ships sailing from one American port to only other American ports.  If that happens, NCL's American-crewed ship will be the only one allowed to sail in Hawaii.  And that ship has some of the worst service [in addition to NCLs lower overall quality] of any ships afloat, according to people posting at Cruise Critic.com.

YES!!!  I will be doing a cruise from San Diego to Hawaii and back in September.  Its a 15 day cruise.  Celebrity cruise line also has cruises to Hawaii leaving from San Diego and returning to San Diego.    Holland America also does cruises to Hawaii from the West Coast US.  Carnival does cruises to Hawaii and back from Ensenada, Mexico.
