  1. Yes you can (generally not underground services), depending on the size of the dog, it may be charged a childs fare and they are not allowed to sit on the seats

  2. yes,i always take the missus with me,nobody objected,yet!!!!!!

  3. Yes, but there is a charge

  4. put some sunglasses on and pretend you are blind - should go smooth after that

  5. i think they can go where the bikes and pushchairs go.  Cant be really sure, sorry

  6. Usually the rules are only if it is a guide dog,

however i have seen some that haven't been i guess it all depends on the rail operator, if can find out which operator's trains you will be using & email their customer services asking if maybe worth buying a muzzal as recent dog attacks here may affect their judgement

  7. Not unless it is a guide dog.

You can't bring dogs on transport for london nor Network Rail.

    Sorry, its a stupid rule.

    Hope this helps!!!

  8. Yes you can.

  9. Yes, but you need to buy a Rover Ticket.

  10. yes, but you often have to stand near the doors in the carriage. If you can carry the dog it is better, and definitely yes if it is a Guide dog.

  11. yes you can

  12. yes you can!  and unlike the bus, you dont need a pass or to pay as you do on some networks!  happy travelling :)

  13. Yes you can I take my dog on the train regularly and never been charged for her

  14. Yeah - I was still the worse for drink the next morning and we went to catch a train. I bought the tickets - but when we were waiting for the train the drink started to wear off and I looked at her again and realised.

I hopped on the train and left her behind, But in theory yeah - I think you can  -  because they sold me the tickets and they definately saw her .

  15. You are allowed to take up to 2 small pets or one medium sized pet per person on board any train in the UK subject to the Condutor / Train Managers / Guards / Drivers discretion, however the byelaws state that the pet must be under control, must not occupy a seat unless a child fare has been purchased for the animal and suitable protction is given to the Train seat (blanket etc), the pet causes no distress to any other passenger in the carrage concerned (hopefully you will not have anyone allergic), that the animal is also clean.

If you are taking your dog, make sure it is on a leash and has a muzzle to be safe (you may not think it is dangerous, others however may not think so, or the dog may take exception to someone).  If possible have a blanket for the dog or if it is a toy sized dog, maybe a bed to place on the seat, however be prepared to move the dog down if the train gets busy or if travelling long distance and seats are reserved.

If your dog does cause a nusiance or the train is too busy for the dog to be carried safely, you will be asked to leave the service and use the next alternate service, or even asked to leave the railway premises with no refund (extreme case).
