Can you take a drink after the first game of the first set in tennis?

As the first game was over in a tennis match ( first set ) I stopped to get a drink. My opponet said that you can't get a drink the after the first game. Is that accurate.

The code, which are the rules all usta self-officiated matches say play must be continious between all even games and after the first game of each set

( this is because you should have just had a 120 second break between sets)

no you can take a drink after every odd game no matter what. you can also take a break when you swich sides in a tie breaker.

.... you can't take a break after the first game of any set.

...... you can take a drink on the run, sure.. but you are not entitled any time for resting.   If you sit anyways, he may call the ref.. and you will receive a "Warning" first...

.in fact, you could take a drink between points (if  you are serving) as long as you don't use up your time between points. This is the same as drying yourself with your towel..

Yes you may take a quick rest and take a drink after the first game... u may do it actually whenever you want to....
