Can you take a driver test if the brakes are screechy?

Can someone use a car that has screechy brakes, I guess brake pads need to be changed?, to take a drivers test?

The car screeches while driving, I believe.

If the Examiner feels that your vehicle cannot be driven safely, they can refuse to go with you. You have to provide a vehicle, so either look for another one, or get those brakes fixed.

You don't want to waste your time or the Examiner's time either because you will be already nervous without that added stress.

If I were you I would get this check because the instructor will not no if it is safe or not...
