I bought this ac guitar guitar for my little brother (wooden guitar and strings) but, I didn't buy a protective suitcase for it. I am taking the airplane tomorrow and I was wondering if it's OK to take it on the airplane just like that as a carry on?

Looks like this if I take it onboard: http://www.softwareandstuff.com/media/h_misc_guitar.jpg

  1. Google the airline... or call them. give them the measurement of the guitar

and ask them if you can.

    Hope I helped!

  2. Assuming you are traveling via a legacy airline, you get a total of 45 linear inches for your carry-on.  To get the number for the guitar, measure its longest tallest, and widest point and add up.  If the total is over 45, you won't be able to carry it on.  Also, this will count as your main carry-on if it does fit, which means you will only be allowed a personal item that can fit under the seat in addition to the guitar.

  3. i don't know about that mate, hopefully they will but i can't see it happening.

    Good luck
