I am carry a couple of guns (rifles and pistols) all airsoft, not even close to real beside the appearance. I am carrying those and my gear to Scotland from US. I know US airports are tight, so I am wondering if I can take them out and in again.

  1. Yes

If You enjoy being strip searched. Otherwise I wouldn't

  2. Absolutely not in your carry-on luggage.  Nothing even remotely resembling a weapon will be allowed in carry-on baggage.

I do not know for sure about in checked baggage - maybe checked baggage is OK.   I think hunters are allowed unloaded guns in their checked baggage, so ask your airlines about that.

  3. You can check them and different airlines have different policies.  My frequent airliner allows it but it has to be locked and you have to fill out some form.  I would call and see because its different for each airliner.

  4. You can if you don't mind getting arrested for attempted terrorism, and having to endure full body cavity searches.

Don't be a moron, don't take anything even remotely similar to a weapon to the airport.

  5. No, not in carry on luggage, and normally not in checked luggage.  You can get them into checked luggage if you contact the airline you will be flying on and follow their rules for checking sporting firearms.  There are special restrictions for flying to sporting/hunting vacations where you need to have your firearms after arriving at your destination.
